Digital Marketing Co-op

My most recent co-op experience was with Hamilton by Gunnebo, a company renowned for manufacturing physical security solutions. Their products are distinguished by their robust construction, extensive customization options, and adherence to rigorous security standards, including GSA approvals for government applications. Hamilton takes pride in its American made products and its wide network of authorized channel partners for distribution and service. During my co-op, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the marketing manager on initiatives aimed at boosting global engagement, redesigning websites, planning events, and producing photography and videography content.

Website Redesign

I was tasked with redesigning the Hamilton main website. This project involved a complete rebuild from the ground up, in collaboration with Gunnebo's Global Marketing team, to modernize the Hamilton online presence. I utilized a range of applications to achieve this, including the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, WordPress, and Yoast SEO.

Annual Channel Partner Conference

I also had the opportunity to contribute to Hamilton's annual conference for its business partners. My responsibilities included assisting with overall event coordination and designing various event materials, such as banners, agendas, and badges, as well as
capturing photographs.

  • Supported the marketing team in planning the event from start to finish

  • I designed all the badges and designations for the people attending the conference.

  • Redesigned the presentations with new updated styling and design for readability

  • Helped take many photos of the event that are published on the new site

Marketing Designs

I was responsible for creating new marketing materials to keep Hamilton's brand current. During my time there, I designed various forms of content, including videos, social media assets, website promotions, banners, and monthly news presentations.

My final project at Hamilton involved creating a global update video on the plant's operations. I captured the majority of the footage using an iPhone, supplemented by a DSLR camera. This video, which primarily showcases the process of manufacturing safes and other Hamilton products from raw metal sheets, was produced in just four days using Premiere Pro.

Co-op Reflection

My time at Hamilton was an invaluable experience. I gained significant insight into the corporate environment and had the opportunity to contribute to numerous projects with diverse objectives. My key takeaway from this co-op was the importance of professional communication. I had the privilege of meeting many industry veterans who were incredibly supportive and open to sharing their knowledge. Hamilton provided an exceptional opportunity to connect with a broad network of professionals, relationships I hope to maintain throughout my career.
